In 2012, Austin Eastciders produced their first cider, Gold Top. With each new release, they brought newly minted cider drinkers to the fold, resulting in the need to build a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Southeast Austin, where most of Austin Eastciders is made today. Crafted to be incredibly sessionable, each sip of Eastciders is refreshingly unexpected.
But good cider requires good ingredients. The process begins with real cider apples sourced from Europe (thanks Ed!) married with apples from the PacNW to create that perfectly balanced flavor profile. White wine yeast is then used to bring out the sparkly, effervescent quality AEC is known for before pairing with real ingredients like Texas honey, real hop flowers and real blood orange juice
